Ask me every year what I'm excited to buy for the upcoming fall season, and every year I’ll say, “a new pair of boots.” And now that the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has arrived, I plan to take full advantage of all the awesome deals by refreshing my shoe collection, boots included. (And, who knows? Since I’m in an autumn state of mind, I might pick up a fall coat, too.) The deals last until August 3, but I have to admit, I doubt these must-have styles will stay in stock through then. Oh, and since the sale dates are based on a tiered system, set according to your Nordstrom membership level, here are some key dates for the big sale to keep in mind for good measure:

  • Icons: Shop from July 8 through July 11
  • Ambassadors: Shop from July 9 through July 11
  • Influencers: Shop from July 10 through July 11
  • Everyone (including non-members): Shop from July 12 through August 3

When it comes to the best Nordstrom Anniversary Sale deals, there are so many styles included—classic ankle boots, knee-highs, cozy booties, etc.—so there’s something for everyone. If you’re anything like me, it’s those timeless silhouettes and super-trendy styles that are top of mind as you think ahead to fall, including riding boots, cowboy boots and fold-over boots. So what are you waiting for? Here are ten pairs of boots and booties to add to cart ASAP for your most stylish fall yet.

The Wardrobe Staple

1. Vince Camuto Lumina Boots

Vince Camuto

In my opinion, a versatile pair of knee-high boots is a closet staple. (But if you don’t believe me, ask Ms. Taylor Swift, who regularly dons a pair.) These Vince Camuto boots have an elegant tapered toe and 2.5-inch block heel, which ensures walking will still be comfortable. There are seven colors available, from basic black to mahogany, suede and coconut cream. My favorite way to wear knee-high boots are with a long wool skirt or trousers for additional insulation and warmth. Though, in warmer months, you can channel a little ‘60s fun à la Sabrina Carpenter with a mini skirt.

The LA Favorite

2. Paul Green Balboa Boots

Paul Green

Per PureWow Senior Editor Dana Dickey (and former Angeleno), moto boots are everywhere in Los Angeles right now. “This year, the boots are motorcycle or equestrian,” she reports. “They may be beat up or polished, and are worn with a lightweight dress like the ethereal white cotton midi that Sienna Miller recently sported, or the button-front shirt dresses I'm seeing worn belt-free and casual. The effect is edgy but feminine.” That’s why I was immediately drawn to this chunky Paul Green pair, with a heeled lug sole that looks Wednesday Addams-approved. The 2.5-inch platform provides a generous height boost, while the buckles add a rough, metallic flair. Choose from three finishes: Crinkled patent, smooth leather or grained nubuck.

The Trendy Foldover

3. Chinese Laundry Fave Boots

Chinese Laundry

Lately, I’ve noticed a handful of foldover boots while out and about observing street style. It’s a fun, unexpected and visually interesting take on an otherwise boring knee-high black boot—and there are plenty of those already. This pair from Chinese Laundry has a towering 3.25-inch heel and is also available in a screaming red. Oh, and they’re under $100.

Most Stylish Waterproof Boots

4. Blondo Carmine Booties

Blondo

It’s difficult to find a pair of waterproof shoes that are also cute—Hunter boots notwithstanding. But sometimes, rubber just doesn’t cut it. Enter Blondo’s Carmine booties. The leather finish is waterproof with an adjustable side gusset to customize the fit. Throw in the chunky heel and cushioned footbed, and I’m sold.

The Royal-Inspired Favorite

5. Vince Martell Boots

Vince Martell

PureWow Senior Director of Special Projects and Royals Rachel Bowie proclaimed riding boots as one of spring 2025’s biggest trends. “From a wearability standpoint, riding boots are as chic as they are practical; They typically come with a low heel and hug the leg snugly with a height that hits just below the knee. They’re also made to last,” she writes. Though the temps outside make the thought of boots feel like a trip to the sauna of hell, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is a great time to plan ahead for the next transitional season: Autumn. You can’t go wrong with this elevated, simple pair from Vince Martell with its low heel and memory foam footbed. Throw in a Barbour coat and you’re ready for a day of apple picking.

Chelsea Boots with a Twist

6. AllSaints Hallie Boots

AllSaints

AllSaint’s Hallie boots are a fun take on the classic Chelsea silhouette, with a higher shaft and more pronounced, chunky lug sole. The pull-on leather boots add a sleek, utilitarian vibe to any outfit. If you’re skeptical about the lack of zippers, fear not. “They fit perfectly. I didn't require a shoe horn to take them on and off,” reports one happy buyer. “And best of all, they are as light as a feather. A lug sole can sometimes make for a shoe that is heavier and maybe even a little clunky. Not these. I just love it when I splurge and the item is totally WORTH IT!”

For Your Cowboy Carter Era

7. Frye Kate Boots

Frye

Seeing as Beyoncé is on her Cowboy Carter tour, it’s safe to bet that cowboy boots will enjoy their time in the spotlight for a long while. I’m loving Frye’s Kate boots—the stitching is a fun little detail with Southwest flavor. The Banana shade in particular evokes a cowboy boot without requiring a full-on commitment to the aesthetic, while the other three neutral shades can be easily styled. With a cushioned insole, super chunky heel and a wide-calf option, these boots, as they say, were made for walking. Take it from one satisfied buyer: “The fit is perfect and feels comfortable right out of the box, with no break-in period needed. These boots have a classic look that pairs beautifully with everything from jeans to dresses.”

Coziest Booties

8. UGG Shearling Booties

UGG

We might be in the dog days of summer, but blink and before you know it, the November wind will be whipping through. That’s when you’ll be glad you picked up a pair of UGG’s beloved shearling booties to keep your toes toasty. These low-profile slip ons feature a plush shearling trim and cozy wool-blended, moisture-wicking lining. Color options include black, Mustard Seed and Chestnut.

Best for City Winters

9. Sorel Out N About IV Duck Boots

Sorel

If you live in a climate that can get slushy, you’ll thank yourself for picking up these Sorel waterproof boots. Whether you’re splashing through puddles, dodging snowflakes or trying not to slide around on half-melted ice, they’ll keep you stylish, warm and dry. As someone who deals with these things often in New York, I also appreciate the slight platform that keeps feet elevated from the pavement.

Classic Booties

10. Veronica Beard Kelby Booties

Veronica Beard

While I don’t opt for slender heels on a daily basis, it’s nice to have a pair on hand for occasions. Veronica Beard’s Kelby booties are a fun winter formal option. The 2.25-inch leather boots have a dainty gold zipper accent and tapered, elegant toe. They’re available in three neutral colors: Black, Hazelwood and Eclipse.
