I’ve been scouring one of my favorite sites for new things to add to my autumn outfit rotation, and I can confidently say that the Abercrombie & Fitch fall collection has tons of must-have pieces to complete my fall capsule wardrobe. The brand is of course known for its fabulous jeans selection, including the famous Curve Love ankle jeans ($90) that are made to fit curvier bodies better than standard sizing, but I’m also eyeing the coats, because there are tons to choose from, including the Wool-Blend Tailored Topcoat ($220) and this unique Wool-Blend Short Coat ($160) for something more versatile. They also have the best basics in town, and a pretty impressive plus-size range. So, believe me when I say that these 19 pieces from the Abercrombie & Fitch fall collection are key to your most stylish season yet.

What’s in Style This Fall?

When it comes to colors, prepare to see brown, maroon and butter yellow everywhere this fall, not to mention a lot of black, thanks to Valentino’s FW 2024 ready-to-wear collection. As for jeans, I expect funkier silhouettes like the barrel jean to dominate for the time being, giving your straight-leg denim a much-needed break. But never underestimate the power of an ankle jean, especially with a pair of ankle boots or ballet flats.

How I Chose the Best Abercrombie & Fitch Fall Collection Items

To pull together this list, PureWow's former Commerce Editor Olivia Dubyak and I selected best-selling items, PureWow reader favorites and new pieces from Abercrombie & Fitch’s fall collection that we anticipate will be huge hits based on trends of the season. Plus, I sifted through hundreds of customers reviews, accessing the quality, fit, size range and comfort of the items in this list.

Loose/oversized jeans are all the rage right now, and these are designed to flatter your curves in all the right places while still giving a bit of stretch room. They come in three different inseam lengths to ensure you won't have to do any altering, along with 11 different wash colors ranging from light to super dark. The two trouser pockets in the front are also a feature you can take advantage of if you're a person who likes to put smaller items in your pockets, making these a pair of jeans with lots of versatility.

There’s nothing like wearing a sleek, crewneck during chilly fall weather. This one has a relaxed shape that won’t cling to your body, and has classic, streamlined silhouette. To top it all off, this casual staple comes in seven neutral colors that will pair well with a mixture of jeans, dress pants and skirts. I'm already adding to my cart!

3. Abercrombie & Fitch Pleated Skort

Abercrombie & Fitch

Thanks to the office siren trend, workwear pieces are a hot commodity as of late, and if you want to opt for something a little different than the standard pleated trouser pick then a pleated mini skort is a great alternative.. It features pleated detailing, belt loops to accessorize and ultra-high-rise fit that’s oh-so flattering. Plus, there is a front zipper with a hook-and-eye closure that provides extra security.

It's officially football season, which means it's time to elevate your go-to outerwear look with these cute team crewneck options. Available in team colors from 25 out of the NFL's 32 teams, it’s made from the brand’s cotton and polyester fabric for that comfortable and soft-to-the-touch feel. Best of all, it's thick enough to keep you warm and cozy while wearing during the cool fall days.

I have about ten trousers in my collection, but one more can’t hurt, right? There are endless tops that will look cute with these tailored pants, from graphic tees to chunky sweaters, ensuring you'll get plenty of wear out of them. The pleats and relaxed silhouette make these bottoms the perfect mix of business and casual. “I love these pants,” writes one buyer. “They are comfy, flattering and look just as cute with a pair of sneakers as they do with pumps. I feel like these will be a wardrobe staple for a long time!”

The relaxed-yet-tailored shape of this coat is great for adding thick layers underneath without feeling like a stuffed sausage or like you’re drowning in fabric. It’s made of a thick wool-blend that is sure to keep you warm on those cool autumn evenings, and has three front buttons to close and two side pockets. Think of it as a capsule wardrobe staple built to last you through fall and winter…and just wait until you see the various color options that are available. You can also grab this in a petite, regular or tall size based on your proportions—just be sure to check the size chart first.

Big, chunky sweaters aren’t the only kind of knitwear you should own when it gets chilly out. Lightweight and even short-sleeve options like this cardigan are optimal for layering, especially if you know you get overheated pretty easily. If you’re a fan of the tie-front summer trend and don’t want to see it go, this button-front gives off a similar dainty effect without sacrificing your warmth.

Barrel jeans that dramatically balloon out are the way to go this season, and the billowy sides coupled with the tailored hems on this pair have me hooked. It’s made from a heavyweight cotton that buyers say is rigid and won’t have any stretch. In fact, one buyer who went up one size says, “[It’s a] cute silhouette, not overwhelming, [and I] love the texture of the jeans.” They come in short, regular and long sizes as well as three different washes, all of which have a mid-rise waist.

“This will now be a staple in my work and off work wardrobe,” gushes one buyer. “[It has a] super thick material while still [being] breathable. I’ve gotten so many compliments while wearing this and love how classy it is.” Complete with gold buttons and an arresting contrast piping throughout, this cardi oozes Chanel vibes—all that’s missing is the bouclé fabric. Some reviewers find that the size is inconsistent, so you may want to refer to the size guide for the best fit, especially if you have bigger boobs.

If you buy anything this fall, make it this long-sleeve rugby polo, which I anticipate will be one of the top trends you’ll see everywhere soon. The relaxed fit gives you a nice amount of space, but it still has a streamlined silhouette to it that looks just fab with a staple pair of jeans, joggers or a chinos. And the striped design is a nice touch too.

Bodysuits are so practical when you don’t feel like tucking your tops into to your pants (and subsequently fussing with the combination all day long). This style has mesh long sleeves and a sexy low, scoop back that adds subtle wow-factor the moment you turn around. It also has corset-style seams along the bodice that will help to define and shape.

If you are looking for something a little sexier, I can’t help but recommend this sleek and sultry mesh top, which is ruched at the sides and available in two other prints—a red floral and a black and white polka dot (but something tells me this leopard print will be the first to go out of stock). Abercrombie & Fitch’s mesh tops are my favorite blouses to go out with the girls in because they’re a bit spicy, but I never feel naked despite the sheernes. Just wear a thin tank top or a lacey bralette and you’re good to go. Also, for $40, it’s a no-brainer. Just don’t forget to refer to the washing instructions before you clean it, so you can make sure the material stays nice over time.

Nothing says fall like a wool coat that could pass as something worn on set of Gilmore Girls. This one is made of a midweight wool-blend to keep you warm without being too heavy and it has four buttons on the front to bundle you up. I predict that most jackets you’ll see this season will have a similar polished silhouette and sharp lapels, and the functional side pockets are just extra perks to revel in.

If you’re an avid jeans wearer every fall, you’re going to want to invest in a pair that’s comfy, versatile and timeless. This style has a fitted shape that hugs the length of your leg without veering into skinny territory, and the curve sizing is a game-changer if you have wide hips. (According to the brand, the fit will eliminate the waist gap.) One Abercrombie & Fitch customer says, “I’ve been looking for jeans that fit my hips and waist, and these do! I love the feel of them and, as a curvy woman, it’s great to have jeans that fit and feel good.” The same ankle style is also available sans Curve Love, too.

Fall wedding season is here and I can’t help but picture this luxe little number with some metallic accessories and gold statement earrings. The pleated fabric and one-shoulder front is a flattering silhouette on many shapes and boob sizes, and the front slit will ensure you can easily dance the night away without feeling constricted. It’s also available in autumnal colors like dark teal and burnt orange.

Pointed-toe boots are on my radar this fall and this pair has a short kitten heel coming in under three-inches for those of you who don’t like too much height. They’re made of a luxurious vegan leather, and the brand recommends sizing down if you’re between sizes.

It’s time to update your pajamas, and this matching camisole and sleep short set is just darling. The pointelle fabric has a super-soft feel, so while it’s meant to cling to your body, it’ll still feel oh-so comfortable against your skin. Plus, that lace-trim adds a little something special compared to your overworn T-shirt.

This dress is very demure, very mindful with its high neckline and classy tweed fabric. Wear it to the office with a sleek pair of pumps or dress it down for a weekend dinner with tights and knee-high boots. Either way, you’ll look like a million bucks for less than $100. “[It’s a] really well-made dress [and has a] heavy material and pocket,” notes one buyer. “My only complaint is the material pooches a little in the front.”

Mark my words: Suede will be one of the top fall fashion trends to look out for. In other words, you better get your hands on this belt before it sells out. Its classy oval design is more than enough to win you over, plus its ability to pair with a range of bottoms including jeans, dress pants, skirts and more.
