It feels like we’ve been waiting forever for Netflix to confirm a release date for season five of Virgin River. Sure, the premiere has been teased by the cast members on social media. For example, Martin Henderson (who plays Jack in the series) hinted at a possible summer release back in February. But, is the new season coming out anytime soon?

Last week on Instagram, Virgin River star Alexandra Breckenridge (aka Melinda “Mel” Monroe) shared a selfie of herself posing in front of a beautiful outdoor backdrop. In the pic, she is smiling widely while wearing a yellow floral top and a brown leather jacket.

However, it was the caption that caught the attention of fans. In the caption, the This Is Us alum wrote, “Flashback to VR season 5 [heart emoji] No you didn’t miss anything. It’s not out just yet….”

The use of the words “just yet” led fans to believe that the fifth installment could be coming out very soon (*fingers crossed*). In the comments section, fans expressed their excitement for the upcoming season, with one person writing, “I can't wait until season 5.” Another person noticed the subtle hint to the season five release date and asked, “WHEN?!!! Please let it be soon,” alongside prayer hands.

This isn’t the first time Breckenridge, 40, has hinted at the premiere date for season five. Back in February, the actress also made a Cameo video for a fan and teased a possible summer release date. “The fifth season that’ll come out probably, I don’t know, maybe July again?” she said in the vid, according to Hello! Magazine. “I’m not sure, nobody’s really updated me!”

Please let it be soon...
