‘The Morning Show’ Has Officially Been Renewed for Season 3—Here's Everything We Know

Gear up, Morning Show fans. The hit Apple TV+ series, starring Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston, has officially been renewed for a third season.

The exciting news comes courtesy of Deadline, only two months after the second season aired its final episode. And according to the site, there will be some changes behind the scenes ahead of season 3.

Kerry Ehrin, who has served as the showrunner since the The Morning Show's inception, is stepping down from her position, while Charlotte Stoudt (known for her work on series like Homeland and Fosse/Verdon) will be taking her place. However, Ehrin will still function as a consultant on the third season.

While little else is known about the upcoming season, we can assume that the show will continue where it left off, with the grim reality of the COVID-19 pandemic creeping its way into the storyline (but we won't spoil anything more than that). Former showrunner Ehrin told Deadline in 2021 that she wanted to see a “time jump” in the series, so we will be curious to see if this idea comes to fruition.

We can also hope that all of the show's main stars will be making their return, including Witherspoon and Aniston, as well as Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman and Desean Terry. We will also likely see the return of season 2 newcomers, like Hasan Minhaj and Julianna Margulies.

The most recent update on the official Morning Show Instagram account occurred on January 1, when the producers celebrated the New Year by saying, “A toast to new beginnings #TheMorningShow.”

We can't wait to see what this means for the future of the show.
