Paramount+ New Releases: The Best Shows & Movies to Watch in April

Paramount+ is following in the footsteps of Netflix, HBO Max and Amazon Prime with its newest lineup, giving viewers plenty of choices this coming month.

The streaming service offered a first glimpse of the titles that will become available to watch in April, and while there are a ton of classic movies—like Charlotte's Web, Forrest Gump, Titanic and The First Wives Club—there are also multiple new releases that are bound to make it on your radar.

1. 'star Trek: The Motion Picture: The Director's Edition'

Premiere date: April 5

Star Trek will go where no fan has gone before with this this full-length feature in HD. Viewers will get to relive the classic, but with new color tech and a few added elements.

2. 'icarly' (season 2)

Premiere date: April 8

Prepare for more chuckle-worthy episodes of this beloved reboot—complete with timely themes. While speaking on season two, showrunner Ali Schouten said in a press release, "We deal more with what it is to be a woman online, whether that's handling romantic situations or showing your anger."

3. 'cecilia'

Premiere date: April 14

The Spanish comedy drama follows a young woman whose world is turned upside down after she suffers a stroke. But in time, she realizes that this incident could bring her closer to her family and even improve her quality of life.

4. 'rugrats'

Premiere date: March 15

It's not quite the same as the Rugrats we all grew up on, but it's sure to make you nostalgic. Revisit Tommy and the gang with 10 new episodes.

5. 'the Offer'

Premiere date: April 28

This limited series will dive into the fascinating true story behind the making of an iconic film that was almost never released: The Godfather. The cast includes Miles Teller, Matthew Goode and Juno Temple.
