Samantha Who? Kim Cattrall Has 4 Major Projects in the Works as ‘SATC’ Reboot Airs

For those of us who excitedly awaited the Sex and the City revival series, it's hard not to notice the absence of the ever-iconic Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall).

However, we recently learned that Cattrall doesn't regret her decision to decline joining the reboot, and fans of the actress shouldn't be too upset because she's got four major projects already lined up.

The first up is the new How I Met Your Mother spinoff series, How I Met Your Father. Alongside stars like Hilary Duff, Josh Peck, Christopher Lowell and more, Cattrall will portray the future version of Duff's character, Sophie.

Cattrall teased the show on her Instagram account, sharing the trailer and saying, “Don't miss the series premiere of @HIMYFonHulu January 18, only on @Hulu. #HIMYF.”

This isn't the only reboot Cattrall has signed onto. The new Queer as Folk revival from Peacock, which features stars like Ryan O'Connell (Special) and Jesse James Keitel (Big Sky), will also feature Cattrall. According to a press release, she will portray “a martini-soaked, high society southern debutant with trailer park roots.”

The 65-year-old actress promoted this show on her Instagram as well, with a behind-the-scenes snap featuring her co-stars. She said, “Meet our #QueerAsFolk family. @notstephendunn @ed_begley_jr @thedevinway @ryanoconn @peacocktv.”

Cattrall isn't stopping there, though.

Along with How I Met Your Father, the actress is kicking of 2022 with a comedic podcast, titled Self Center. In the series, a 40-year-old woman named Meg treats herself to a weekend retreat hosted by SLF-CNTR, “a health and beauty lifestyle brand led by celebrated model-turned-wellness-thought-leader.” The podcast was written by Matthew Chauncey, Julie Greiner, Keerthi Harishankar and Agathe Panaretos, with voice work by Cattrall and Judy Greer.

Finally, Cattrall will star as Tigger in a movie titled About My Father, where a boy crashes a weekend with his girlfriend's parents in an effort to win them over before proposing. The movie will feature stars like Robert De Niro, Anders Holm, Leslie Bibb and more (nbd).
