Jennifer Coolidge remembers filming one of her last scenes as Tanya McQuoid like it was yesterday. How could one ever forget the tragic fate of the wealthy icon who fell to her death from a yacht in The White Lotus season two finale? And ever since filming the final episode, the Golden Globe winner hasn’t been able to do one particular activity: get on a boat.

In a recent episode of Variety’s Actors on Actors series, the 61-year-old actress took a moment to discuss her character’s fate. In the open dialogue, Coolidge shared how she has been afraid of boats ever since filming the finale.

“It’s the scariest thing to be on a boat. I’m never getting on a boat again,” she said, later revealing that shooting the scene felt “very real” for her.

Coolidge candidly explained that her final scene was not easy to film. “We had to reshoot that a bunch of times. Where’s the gun? The inside of the bag is black. I can’t find it. But it all felt real,” Coolidge said.

She continued, “When you’re on a boat and you’re in the middle of the ocean and there is nowhere to go, what if your castmates hate you? They could just push you. Anyone can get rid of you on a boat.”

But, have fans seen the last of Tanya McQuoid? Well, according to the series creator, he isn’t too sure. Earlier this month, White participated in a press conference event at the Vivid Sydney Festival.

When asked about the possibility of a prequel series centered around the fan-favorite character, the writer and director teased that the idea is definitely “possible.”

Only caveat for the proposed prequel? Zero boats.
