Reuniting with Carrie Bradshaw and (most of) her BFFs has been quite a ride, to say the least.

From steamy romance scenes to bombshell reveals, HBO's And Just Like That reminded us that navigating relationships in your 30s isn't nearly as complicated your 50s. (FYI, you can listen to our resident SATC experts Dara Katz and Phil Mutz discuss season one of the reboot on And Just Like That...a Sex and the City Reboot Podcast.)

Though And Just Like That… has been renewed for a second season, we haven’t gotten many updates about the next installment. Well, until now. Two of the show’s stars—Sarah Jessica Parker and Sara Ramirez—teased fans with a sneak peek of the season two scripts. Keep reading for everything we know so far about And Just Like That... season two.

‘And Just Like That’ Showrunner Reveals Samantha Will Be Back—in a Very Familiar Way

1. Has And Just Like That... Season 2 Been Confirmed?

Deadline confirmed on March 22 that HBO Max greenlit another season of the popular spin-off. Sarah Aubrey, Head of Original Content at HBO Max, said in a statement, “We have been delighted by the cultural conversation generated by these characters and their stories, set in a world we already know and love so much.”

She continued, “We are proud of the work Michael Patrick King and our wonderful writers, producers, cast and crew have done to bring these stories to the screen. We can’t wait for fans to see what’s in store for season 2!”

2. When Does And Just Like That… Season 2 Start Filming?

Even though we don’t know exactly when the second season will start filming, certain cast members have already started teasing the next installment.

On Instagram, Ramirez (who plays Che on the show) shared a sneak peek picture of the scripts for episodes one and two of season two. They wrote a cryptic message in the caption, writing, “🤫shhhhh…..” Now, this is just a hunch, but the photo was possibly taken during a table read for the new season.

Even Parker (Carrie Bradshaw) posted a similar snapshot on her personal Instagram page. Just below the show’s title was “Episode 201” written on the white sheet of paper. However, the Hocus Pocus actress chose to scribble out the third line with a purple pen.

3. Who’s In The Cast?

The show’s leading ladies—Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon—will return to reprise their roles. Additionally, newcomers Ramírez, Parker, Sarita Choudhury and Karen Pittman are set to return.

However, Chris Noth (Big) won't make any more appearances (even in flashback form). And according to Bloys, Kim Cattrall will only have a text message cameo. Showrunner Michael Patrick King said, “My goal is to bring all the characters into the mix together so that they're not so much on separate runways.”

4. What’s The Plot For Season 2?

Plot details haven't been confirmed just yet, but we think it’ll flesh out quite a few storylines from season one, including the direction of Carrie and Miranda’s love lives.

Nicole Ari Parker (aka Lisa Todd Wexley) sat down with PureWow and shared that she’s hoping for her character to have more steamy scenes in the new season.

“I can’t wait to see what happens,” she said. “I think my character could have a little bit more sex in the city, and I got a really great co-star, Chris Jackson, from Hamilton, as you know. I think this season, there's going to be more marital fun.”

5. When Will Season 2 Premiere?

As of now, your guess is as good as ours. But considering that season one premiered in December after production started in June 2021, it’s very likely that fans will get another ten episodes as soon as December 2022—depending on when production starts.
