Reuniting with Carrie Bradshaw and (most of) her BFFs has been quite a ride, to say the least.

From steamy romance scenes to bombshell reveals, HBO's And Just Like That reminded us that navigating relationships in your 30s isn't nearly as complicated as figuring things out in your 50s. (FYI, you can listen to our resident SATC experts Dara Katz and Phil Mutz discuss every single episode on And Just Like That...a Sex and the City Reboot Podcast.) But with the season over, we can't help but wonder: Will HBO confirm And Just Like That season 2?

According to Casey Bloys, HBO's chief content officer, it's definitely a possibility. He told Deadline, "I think there will be," adding that the new season would be a "big commitment." But what could this mean for Carrie and the rest of the gang? Keep reading for everything we know so far.

1. Has And Just Like That season 2 been confirmed?

There's still no word on whether And Just Like That will get a second chapter, but according to Bloys, it's not off the table.

While chatting with Deadline, he said, "It’s really Michael Patrick King and Sarah Jessica [Parker] talking to figure out if there’s a story they’re excited by. I think there will be, but they’re talking and making sure they want to jump in."

He continued, "It’s a big commitment, and they’ll come to us and let us know what they’re thinking, but I’m feeling good about it." (TBH, so are we.)

Per E! News, executive producer Michael Patrick King also hinted at a second season while speaking with Emmy Magazine. He revealed, "As we were working, it always felt like the beginning. It didn't feel like a beginning, middle and an end. So I think it's possible to keep going—if we have enough good stories."

2. Who would be in the cast?

If the show does get renewed, we can assume that leading ladies Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon will reprise their roles again. It's also likely that newer cast members, including Sara Ramirez and Nicole Ari Parker, would return.

However, Chris Noth (Big) won't be making any more appearances (even in flashback form). And according to Bloys, Kim Cattrall would not appear. He told Deadline, "I don’t think [she’d return]. I think they handled it really sensitively and really well. I don’t expect to have those conversations."

3. What will the plot be for season 2?

We don't know just yet, but we get the feeling it would flesh out quite a few storylines from season one, including the direction of Carrie and Miranda's love lives.

4. When would season 2 be released?

After starting production in June 2021, the first season of And Just Like That premiered on HBO Max in December. So if the second season is a go, then fans could get another 10 episodes as soon as 2022, depending on when production starts.
