The Dyson Amber Silk Airstrait Wet to Dry Straightener.
QVC/Design for PureWow

The one thing you’re always warned not to do with wet hair—straighten it—is actually encouraged with one of Dyson’s most coveted hair tools. In fact, it's the reason why everyone wants the Dyson Airstrait ($550; $400), a wet-to-straightener that's actually designed to safely straighten strands while drying them. Not only does it help save a ton of time in the morning, it also allows you to achieve that sought-after glass hair look—aka a silky-smooth, ultra-glossy style. It’s like having a built-in ColorWow Dream Coat. And right now, the tool is on sale for $150 off at QVC. Take it from someone who uses it (and loves it): You don't want to skip this deal.

Dyson

A few of my fellow editors and I had the pleasure of testing the Dyson Airstrait for a PureWow100 review. Not only were we impressed by its ability to seamlessly transition from drying to straightening hair using high-pressure airflow, but we also loved how easy it was to use. You see, it works just like a regular straightener, except you can choose between two modes: Wet, with three heat settings for fresh-out-of-the-shower hair, and Dry, with two heat settings and a boost mode for getting silky results.

Whether you have thin, straight hair or thick, curly hair, you can adjust the settings to your needs. The arms even lock, so you can dry your roots. However, my favorite feature is the cool shot mode, which lets you set your style for a long-lasting glass 'do. I also appreciate the auto-pause function, which powers down the tool when you’re not using it, helping you save electricity (take that, Con Edison).

Between the steps it skips, time it saves and ability to supply sleek salon results, the Dyson Airstrait is worth the investment at its regular price—but to find it on sale? That's a rare opportunity worth jumping on. As someone who’s owned this tool for almost three years (and adores its automatic self-cleaning function), I highly recommend adding it to your cart right this minute. Shiny strands in half the time await.
