Whether you’re a gym goer or a massage lover, you’ve probably heard of the Theragun, which is designed to help with aches and pains. While some find it uniquely effective, others are hesitant that the percussive action is too aggressive. That’s where we come in.

On the latest episode of Take My Money, PureWow creator Kate tested the Theragun Sense ($299) to see if it’s worth the hype. She even tried all four attachments to see what they’re best suited for.

In the episode (see above), Kate explained what the Theragun Sense is used for. “This device is supposed to help with aches and pains and also help give you a more restful sleep,” she said.

She also confirmed that it comes with an informational packet, adding, “The device comes with these different cards, which basically tell you what are the different heads to the device. It also shows you areas and how you should massage, like how to massage your neck, how to relieve lower back pain, which is really convenient because it’s not just dropping you with the device and hoping you learn how to use it.”

Kate continued, “One thing I love about this device is it comes with different routines that you can try out. So, it has a sleep prep routine, it has a back pain routine, it has a tension relief routine, a lower body recovery routine and a breathing routine.”
