Here’s What Celebrity Nutritionist and Author Kelly LeVeque Eats in a Day to Look (and Feel) Incredible

What do Jennifer Garner, Emmy Rossum and Jessica Alba have in common? Well, in addition to starring in hit TV shows and movies, they’ve all worked with celebrity nutritionist Kelly LeVeque. When she’s not getting celebs red carpet–ready, LeVeque is also an author. In her second book, Body Love Every Day (on sale later this month), LeVeque shares her science-based “it’s not a diet” approach to clean eating, weight loss and wellness, centered on what she calls the Fab Four: protein, fat, fiber and greens. Here’s what she eats in an average day to look and feel her best.

Here’s What Badass Pro Surfer Malia Manuel Eats in a Day to Look (and Feel) Incredible

7 A.m.

“I always start my day with a large glass of water followed by coffee or black tea and a workout. Studies like this one from Lehman College suggest that fasted workouts increase human growth hormone and testosterone to help oxidize free fatty acids and bring down elevated glucose and triglycerides, so I don’t eat anything before I hit the gym.”

9 A.m.

“After my workout, I drink a Fab 4 smoothie—which has a mix of protein, fat, fiber and greens—because it’s blood sugar balancing, it regulates my hunger hormones and it helps prevent cravings later in the day. Depending on the day, it might be a super green smoothie, a dark chocolate mocha or an almond butter and greens smoothie.”

Noon

“I don’t snack between breakfast and lunch—if I’m hungry, I just have an early lunch. Living in California, lunch year-round tends to be a big green salad with fatty protein like salmon or a grass-fed burger with a bunch of non-starchy vegetables like broccoli, cucumber, carrot and cauliflower, and an herby olive oil dressing or apple cider vinegar and olive oil.”

3 P.m.

“If I need a snack between lunch and dinner, I’m reaching for hard-boiled eggs, grass-fed beef jerky, veggies and hummus, or half an avocado with real salt.”

6 P.m.

“Dinner is normally warming, like a sheet pan meal of chicken with broccoli and pesto, a cauliflower rice bowl or lettuce cup tacos.”

8 P.m.

“After I get my son, Sebastian, down, I try to do a little something for me, whether that’s reading a book, listening to one of my favorite podcasts, jumping into my infrared sauna or getting into a bath full of Now Foods magnesium flakes to improve skin hydration.”
