When it comes to wedding planning, there’s no shortage of tasks to check off your list. One of the most exciting, but potentially overwhelming, is choosing your perfect honeymoon destination. But don’t worry—I vetted not only some of the most recommended locations by other honeymooners (I went on quite the Reddit deep dive), but searched through tons of Airbnb listings to uncover the best options all over the U.S..

Some of the top suggestions included staying near national parks in Maine or Colorado for adventurous couples, and a tropical getaway in Hawaii or the Florida Keys for those who want to kick back and relax near the beach. No matter what kind of vibe you’re planning for, you’re sure to find a match on this list.

Have you always wanted to spend a night (or maybe a week) under the Northern Lights? Same. Well, Alaska is one of your best bets for spotting them without leaving the U.S., and the tranquil location of this A-frame cabin looks like the perfect place to try. It’s not far from Anchorage, so you’ll still be able to access plenty of restaurants and the airport without a long drive, but you’ll be far enough away for it to feel a little more special and secluded. “This place was amazing! Not too far out of town but far enough to feel very private and remote. Beautiful home and even was able to see the aurora! Great little romantic getaway and will definitely be back,” wrote one recent reviewer. So yeah, I’d say this one is definitely worth considering for your own trip.
