Do NYC like Beyoncé, Adele and J.Law

You’ve already done the New York City tourist stuff: Rockefeller Center, the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, all the essentials. Been there, done that. Yawn.

Now it’s time to explore NYC like a celebrity. Because a day spent devouring waffles like Beyoncé, belting out the Grease soundtrack with Jimmy Fallon and staying at Jude Law’s home away from home is much more fun (and civilized) than pushy, smelly Times Square.

Or maybe you just want to dive into some guacamole with Jennifer Lawrence? Yeah, this travel guide has that too.

Where to Stay

Crosby Street Hotel

Check in to this chic Nolita boutique hotel and you could be hanging out in the picturesque courtyard with celebs like Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz, Penelope Cruz, Emma Stone and Jude Law (swoon). Book the first-floor Meadow Suite to get your own private terrace adorned with lush grasses, or reserve a room on the tenth or eleventh floor for a spectacular view of downtown Manhattan (including Samuel L. Jacksons pad across the street). Catch private movie screenings on Sunday nights with other hotel guests, and then venture up to the roof to meet the hotel’s biggest VIPs: four pet chickens named Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx and Manhattan.

79 Crosby St. (at Spring St.); Rates start at $595 per night

Where to Eat

WTE 1

Venture to Brooklyn for fried chicken and waffles and you might get a bonus Beyoncé sighting--it’s one of her favorite brunch spots. Breakfast is always better with a side of Blue Ivy, don’t you think?

524 Court St. (at Huntington St.), Brooklyn

Remember when Taylor Swift and Kanye West hated each other? They’ve finally found something in common: They’re both obsessed with this West Village gastro-pub (the chargrilled burger with shoestring fries is seriously addicting) and have even been seen hanging out there together.

314 W. 11th St. (at Greenwich St.)

You’ll never guess who was recently spotted having a girls’ night out at this trendy Mexican joint. The ultimate trifecta: Jennifer Lawrence, Adele and Emma Stone, who demolished “all the guac” (J.Law’s words).

35 E. 21st St. (at Broadway)

What to Do

Forget the double-decker bus and rent a Citi Bike for the afternoon. Pedal down Mercer Street in Greenwich Village (careful of the cobblestones) and youll pass the abodes of Jessica Chastain, Daniel Radcliffe, Bethenny Frankel, Mike Myers and Jon Bon Jovi, all in an eight-block stretch. When you need a bike break, grab a latte at nearby French Roast, Julianne Moore’s regular spot.

With a little advance planning, you can see The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for free on your trip. Check the show’s Twitter account--seats for the following month’s shows are typically announced the first week of every month, and a pair of VIP tickets is given away every Thursday.

After completing his hosting duties, Jimmy Fallon has been hanging out (and leading Grease sing-alongs) at West Village piano bar Marie’s Crisis, and he’s in good company. Josh Groban and Darren Criss recently stopped by to belt out show tunes and sip cocktails with the crowd.

What to Skip

There are way more exciting Sex and the City filming locations to see (hello, New York Public Library). And besides, the cupcakes are better at Billy’s Bakery.

What to Pack

It might be tempting to imagine traipsing around NYC in your cutest stilettos like Carrie Bradshaw, but trust us: Do not. You’re going to be doing a ton of walking, and you can’t afford to get blisters.

JOIE ($190)

New Yorkers are always prepared. Pack a versatile purse that fits your wallet, phone, lip gloss, a bottle of water and a snack but resist the urge to lug too much stuff--your back will thank you.

CHLO… ($795)

Before your trip, buy a telephoto lens attachment for your phone so you can snap amazing photos of the city (and, fingers crossed, some celebs) without lugging around a bulky camera.

MOMENT ($100)
