Though King Charles is confirmed to be attending the Easter Sunday service at St. George’s Chapel, which will be his first major event since starting his cancer treatment, it has been reported that not one, but two more members of the British royal family won’t be attending the annual outing (and no, we’re not talking about Kate Middleton and the rest of the Wales fam).

Per Hello! Magazine, it was confirmed earlier this morning that Zara Tindall (aka Prince William’s cousin), her husband, Mike Tindall, and their three children (Mia, 10, Lena, 5, and Lucas, 3) are unable to attend the Easter Sunday service.

The reason why? According to the outlet, the family of five will take a trip to Thoresby Hall in Nottinghamshire, England, to compete in a three-day equestrian competition.

Hello! also reported that Zara, 42, will likely be one of the contestants competing. It is presumed that she (and her two horses) will take part in the Advanced competition at the Eventing Spring Carnival, which will happen from March 29 - March 31, 2024.

Earlier this week, Buckingham Palace announced that His Majesty, 75, will attend the annual church service along with his wife, Queen Camilla, 76. However, Princess Catherine, Prince William and their three children—Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5—will be absent from the festivities.

Being that the Princess of Wales is currently in the early stages of her cancer treatment, a spokesman from Kensington Palace recently revealed that the mother of three, 42, is being advised to not take part in any royal or public duties until her doctors give the green light.

“The Princess will return to official duties when she is cleared to do so by her medical team. She is in good spirits and is focused on making a full recovery,” an insider from the palace revealed on March 22, according to People.
