Couldn't agree more

When it comes to TikTok trends, there are way too many to keep up with (and honestly, they come and go faster than I can scroll). The latest one to take over our feeds? The “You look happier” trend—where people respond with the real reason they’re glowing a little more than usual. Answers range from hilariously toxic (getting back with a problematic ex) to painfully relatable (the kids are finally asleep) to the truly unhinged (liking every one of your own posts). And yep, even celebs are hopping on the trend—and I have to say, Drew Barrymore and Mindy Kaling nailed it.

Drew, 50, joined the fun on Monday, July 7, posting a short clip to social media. In it, the talk show host walks past the camera with a big smile and a casual hair flip. The text on the screen reads, “‘You look happier’” and her response? "Thanks! I got the 50 F*%k its."*

It’s a shoutout to the phrase “50 and f*** it,” an empowering motto that basically says once you hit 50, you stop caring about what people think and start living for yourself. It’s about embracing freedom, letting go of expectations and leaning into your most authentic self.

And fans were loving it. “Just turned 50 a month ago… definitely true!!” one person commented. Another wrote, “Welcome to the club.” Someone else asked, “Can I start at 49? It's my birthday!!!” And if you ask me, go for it. This energy is for everyone.

Mindy also joined in on July 7 with a take that was peak summer-relatable. In her video, she’s barefoot in a yellow sundress, flipping meat on the grill. The on-screen text reads, “You look happier” and then, “Thanks, I gave up on doing my hair and just put it in a claw clip.”

And honestly, same. Between the heat, the humidity and the grill smoke, a claw clip is basically self-care. Commenters agreed: “I feel seen” and “Celebrities—they’re just like us.”

TikTok might move fast, but this trend? I'm holding onto it.
