In a world overflowing with streaming platforms and endless content options, just figuring out what to watch can feel like a full-time job. That’s why weekly watchlists and viral recommendations are so clutch. But nothing beats an organic celebrity shoutout—especially when it comes from someone like Mindy Kaling.

In a recent Instagram reel, the actress, writer and producer joined the “propaganda I’m definitely falling for” trend, where people list the random things they’ve totally bought into. Her picks? Everything from “those little cupcakes from Ralphs” to “sleeping more than 6 hours” and even “memorizing credit card numbers for online shopping” (relatable). But the final item on her list? "Forever on Netflix."

Yes, that Forever—the new teen drama based on Judy Blume’s iconic novel. If Kaling is co-signing it, I'm all ears. After all, she’s played a part in being the creative force behind hits like The Office, The Mindy Project, Never Have I Ever and The Sex Lives of College Girls. Moral of the story: She knows good TV.

ICYMI, Forever is set in 2018 Los Angeles and follows two childhood best friends who reconnect as teenagers. Cue a deep, emotional first love that’s sweet, messy and completely transformative. It’s the kind of heartfelt storytelling that sticks with you—and clearly, audiences agree.

The show premiered on Netflix on May 8 and was renewed for a second season within the week. It’s stayed solidly in the Netflix Top 10 and has already racked up more than 6 million views this week alone. Oh, and the soundtrack? Absolute fire—with tracks by SZA, Anderson .Paak, Migos, Daft Punk, Janelle Monáe, Tyler, the Creator and more.

It also has a 97 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes and critics are loving it. Variety praised it for offering “something rarely seen on television,” while fans are calling it “the best limited romance series” they’ve watched.

Bottom line: Mindy Kaling’s right. This is one show worth falling for.
