If you're a lady who wears a size 10 or above, you need to know Universal Standard.
The plus-size clothing line sells high-quality basics, plus-size jewelry, activewear kits (a recent addition) and celebrity collaborations. It's also committed to becoming even more inclusive, recently announcing that it will offer size-extended petites, from sizes 10 to 28.
In a press release, Universal Standard noted that, "The move signals the next step in the brand’s mission to unify the fashion industry and give another underserved 'market within a market' access to modern, elevated essentials."
Each item in the new collection is engineered to meet the proportional needs of this particular customer (instead of being a reduction of the regular sizes). Using petite fit models, Universal Standard is recognizing the 50 percent of women who are shorter than 5'4".
