‘The Bachelorette’ Announced Not One, But *Two* New Leads—& Fans Are Freaking Out

Great news, Bachelor Nation! It looks like there's going to be a bonus season of The Bachelorette this year, which means not one, but two bachelorettes will be gracing our screens in the near future.

During Monday's The Bachelor: After the Final Rose special, it was announced that both Katie Thurston and Michelle Young will be the new leads in back-to-back seasons of the series. Thurston will star in season 17 this summer, while Young will serve as the lead for season 18 in the fall. During the Bachelor Special, both ladies appeared on stage and broke the news, saying, "We're the Bachelorettes."

If you recall, both Thurston and Young were contestants on the 25th season of The Bachelor, where 29-year-old Matt James served as the lead. Thurston, 30, made quite the impression by making her grand entrance with a vibrator in hand. While she was eliminated from the lineup in February, the fan-favorite was still cast as a Bachelorette, making her the first woman to ever take on the role without having made it to the top ten.

Young, on the other hand, was a runner up on the series, even though she entered the season late. The 27-year-old teacher lost to Rachael Kirkconnell in the season finale, and fans began to speculate that she would be chosen as the next Bachelorette.

During the special, both ladies revealed that they're excited to have a second shot at finding true love. Thurston said, "I'm ready to find love. And not just the temporary kind—I'm talking forever, my husband. And I'm in a place in my life where I feel like I'm the best version of me."

Yonng also revealed, "I am ready. I really do think this process works. When you get to set down all the outside distractions and really dive in, I think you can learn a lot about somebody. I'm just excited. I'm ready to get started."

The good news comes shortly after The Bachelorette announced their new hosts, Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe. The show's official Instagram account shared, "Chris Harrison will not be hosting the next season of The Bachelorette...In his absence, former Bachelorettes Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe will support the new Bachelorette through next season."

We can't wait!
