Taylor & Travis Step Out for Birthday Celebration But People Can't Stop Talking About *Those* Shorts

Taylor Swift and fiancé Travis Kelce celebrated Patrick Mahomes’ 30th birthday in style. 

On September 15, country music star Kane Brown shared photos of the event, where he could be seen posing alongside the couple with his wife, Katelyn, Patrick and his wife, Brittany, with the caption, "Happy birthday Pat & congrats TT. Thanks for hosting us, Britt.”

The party seemed to be a celebration of both Patrick's big birthday and Taylor and Travis’s recent engagement announcement. As usual, I, along with many, can’t stop thinking about Taylor’s super chic outfit, but it was actually Travis's shorts that stole the show this time around. For the occasion, Tay was her usual stylish self, as she was seen wearing the Payton Check Wrap miniskirt from Jonathan Simkhai, which, as you probably guessed, is sold out.

Pairing her skirt with the brand’s matching Poppy vest (which is also sold out), she put the exclamation point on her cute fit with a pair of Gucci’s Ottavia Platform leather pumps in the chocolate colorway.

As for Travis, he opted for a white dress shirt and a black tie from Thom Browne, which he paired with navy blue dress shorts and leather loafers. Earlier in the day, he was seen wearing the outfit while arriving at Arrowhead Stadium for Kansas City's game against the Philadelphia Eagles, and needless to say, his shorts were the talk of the town. "When you have a game at 3:25 and then must report to boarding school at 7 pm," wrote one fan, with another chiming in, "When Travis forgets to bring pants for Travis." Hey...you can't win them all.

Travis and Taylor confirmed their engagement in late August via a joint Instagram post with the caption, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” alongside a lit firecracker emoji. The post featured a carousel of the engagement, where Kelce could be seen down on one knee in an English garden, the couple embracing with their foreheads touching each other and a close-up of the gorgeous (and ginormous) ring. 

The countdown to the wedding begins. (But maybe skip the shorts for the nuptials, OK Travis?)
