Margot Robbie & Hilary Duff Are Playing the Same Real-Life Murder Victim, Sharon Tate—and They Aren’t the First Ones

The 28-year-old Oscar winner made a few adjustments (peep those brows) to make herself look even more like Tate. She also read the autobiography written by Tate’s former husband, Roman Polanski, in order to prepare for the role. 

The 31-year-old starred as titular character in the April 2019 horror film The Haunting of Sharon Tate. Based on the real-life gruesome 1969 murders of Tate, her unborn baby, her ex-boyfriend-turned-friend Jay Sebring, coffee heiress Abigail Folger, Wojciech Frykowski and Steven Parent, the film reimagines the well-known story with a premonition component.

Typically, the American Horror Story anthology hinges on the imagined rather than the real. But in 2017, the 41-year-old played Tate in season seven of American Horror Story: Cult.

Prior to landing her breakout role as Katie Campbell in NBC’s The Village, the 22-year-old played Tate in the 2018 film Charlie Says (ya know, like Charles Manson). We can totally see the resemblance in the eyes.

In addition to Robbie and Duff, the 36-year-old Blue Crush star is slated to star as the late actress in the upcoming biopic, Tate, which is being directed by her husband Michael Polish.
