Salma Hayek Carried Candy On the Golden Globes Red Carpet and We Couldn’t Be More Obsessed

When Salma Hayek showed up to the 2023 Golden Globes, she absolutely stunned in a shimmery, spiderweb-esque gown from Gucci. The dazzling design featured fringe sleeves, a corset-like bodice and a sunburst of jewels coming from the center. But, while we couldn't take our eyes off the House of Gucci star's outfit, we just learned about a surprise accessory that she snuck into the event: a candy bar.

As reported by HOLA!, the 56-year-old star was spotted walking the red carpet with a Pulparindo bar in hand, a popular Mexican candy typically flavored with tamarind, sugar, salt and chili peppers.

The moment was captured by Chriz Ortiz and Carolina Reynoso for Buzzfeed's Pero Like, and they posted the video to Instagram, where we can see Hayek not only grabbed a Pulparindo, but also two de la Rosa marzipans.

“Chriz (@itzchrizortiz) & Caro (@caroreyrey) had an epic moment last night at the Golden Globes when they shared Mexican candy with the icon Salma Hayek (@salmahayek) and Harvey Guillén (@harveyguillen),” the caption read.

Fans loved the relatable moment, like one user who wrote, “A Queen always has time for a snack.” Another loved her picks and wrote, “She has excellent taste.”

Hayek shared her own reflection on the evening (but sadly didn't mention the candy), in a post where she wrote, “I wish I could tell you I arrived on a plane from Europe, woke up like this, and easily just slipped into a dress, but in reality, it took a beauty army of skilled soldiers to get me together for the #GoldenGlobes red carpet last night! Thank you to @gucci, @boucheron and my entire crew!!”

Could she be any more iconic?
