Before we kick off the new week, we *have* to take a moment to discuss the striking portrait the British royal family posted on their official Instagram page this past week, where Prince William, 41, was seen sharing a chummy moment with Queen Camilla, 76, during the annual Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey on Monday, March 11.

The first photo of the Instagram slideshow (shared below) shows the Prince of Wales smiling at his stepmother, who returns the gesture. For the church service, the future king opted for a navy blue suit with a white button-up shirt and a polka dot tie. The queen, on the other hand, rocked an elegant aquamarine coat with a matching brimmed hat and a heart-shaped gemstone brooch on the bodice.

Meanwhile, another picture shows the two royals standing side-by-side. Not only did we get to see their noticeable height difference, but we also got a full view of Queen Camilla’s entire church service outfit. This included black leather gloves with her show-stopping statement boots, which have seemingly made a comeback. (FYI, the queen was first spotted wearing her chic knee-high boots back in November 2023 when she hosted a reception dinner for the Booker Prize Foundation at Clarence House.)

In the caption of the IG post, the royal fam shared more details about the traditional event, writing that this year’s Commonwealth Day service “drew on this year’s Commonwealth Day theme ‘One Resilient Common Future: Transforming our Commonwealth,’” while shining a light on “stories  of resilience through performances and reflections representing the five regions of the Commonwealth.”

During the annual celebration, Queen Camilla and Prince William were also joined by other members of the royal family, including Prince Edward, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh and Princess Anne. However, King Charles and Kate Middleton were not able to attend the event.
