Wait—Is Rihanna Pregnant with Twins? Here's Why Fans Think So

Only time will tell

Rihanna revealing her pregnancy at the 2025 Met Gala? Iconic, obviously. While fans were already buzzing over the surprise announcement, the internet has now spiraled into full-on speculation mode—not just about the baby’s gender, but whether the Fenty Beauty founder might actually be expecting twins.

The theory stemmed from a brief moment on the Met Gala steps. During a blue carpet chat, a reporter jokingly asked Rihanna if she brought her “umbrella, ella, ella, eh”—a cheeky nod to her hit song "Umbrella." Her response? “[A$AP] Rocky brought that,” she said, referring to her longtime partner and father of her children, RZA, 2, and Riot, 1. “I brought the kid,” she added while gesturing toward her baby bump.

Seems straightforward enough… until fans listened a little closer.

In a clip posted by Access Hollywood, the outlet captioned her response as “I brought the kid.” But eagle-eyed (or, let’s be real, eagle-eared) fans swear they heard something else. “Did she say kids as in plural?!?!” one commenter wrote. Another declared, “She said kids—she’s having twins.” And just like that, Twin Watch 2025 was born.

Rumors that Rihanna may be pregnant have been swirling for weeks—especially after her recent Savage X Fenty shoot. But she made it official on May 5, debuting her bump in true Rihanna fashion: strolling the streets of NYC in a gray Miu Miu top and matching skirt, shot by her go-to photographer Miles Diggs. She completed the look with knee-high socks and gray pointed-toe heels, of course—because being pregnant has never stopped Rihanna from serving.

Whether she’s having one baby or two, one thing's for sure: this kid (or kids) will be among the best-dressed little humans on the planet.
