If you’re looking for a new book that won’t bore you to a crisp, you’ve come to the right place.

Reese Witherspoon recently revealed her April book pick for Reese’s Book Club: The Most Fun We Ever Had by Claire Lombardo. The actress, 48, shared a video on Instagram to announce the exciting news.

In the video, Witherspoon teases the story by revealing five words to describe this month’s pick: character-driven, complicated, messy (in the best way), emotional and sisters.

The caption read, “Okay, MORE than 5 words! Our April @reesesbookclub pick, #TheMostFunWeEverHad by @claire_lombardo is so engrossing, it was impossible to pick only 5 to sum it up. This book truly feels like you’re a fly on the wall watching a real family interact. SO GOOD!”

Fans and followers praised Witherspoon’s selection in the comments section. One person wrote, “I love when you pick an older book. So many underrated authors out there who never get the recognition they deserve.” Another added, “Oh, I love me some family drama and relationships! (As long as it’s not my own family drama. lol.)”

The Most Fun We Ever Had is a multi-generational story that focuses on four daughters whose biggest fear is never finding a relationship that’s as strong as their parents. The book was originally published in 2019, and it served as Lombardo’s debut. Not only did it become Amazon’s best book of July 2019, but it also landed a spot on the New York Times best-sellers list.
