Kate Middleton's favorite parenting gesture is back on display.

Every so often, a royal family member jumps on the bandwagon to use the iconic move. This time around, it was Queen Letizia of Spain, who took the time out to pay a visit to a fire-damaged area in Sanabria Lake Natural Park in Zamora. During her visit, the royal greeted and shook hands with many residents of the community.

While greeting a toddler, the queen showed us Kate's signature move: She got down to eye level to chat with the child. This move is typically used to create a level playing field and establish trust, which can make kids feel more at ease while talking to adults. Letizia joins a long list of people who have copied Princess Kate, who has become known over the years for getting down to eye level with the kids she engages with, be it for a picture, greeting them in the crowd or listening to their stories.

In May, Duchess Sophie visited staff and students at the Royal School for the Blind Charity. A post from the event was shared by the Buckingham Palace Instagram account afterwards. Set to Rusted Roo's "Send Me On My Way," the montage included clips of the Duchess interacting with the children at the school, and in the video, she could be seen getting down to the eye level of the kids to talk to them and take pictures.

Prince William was also spotted copying the move last December when he visited the Mercian Regiment for a Christmas lunch and festive activities. The Prince of Wales later posted pictures of the event to his Instagram story, and in one of the photos, he could be seen bending down to greet a young boy at eye level as they had a quick conversation.

Another photo showed him using the same move as he handed out presents to a group of children. In September of that year, Prince Harry used the move while speaking with kids at the WellChild Awards, and one month later,  Meghan Markle followed suit when meeting with a young girl at the Children’s Hospital Gala

Princess Kate certainly seems to have started a trend here, and it’s only a matter of time before we see another royal use her famous move again.
