Queen Letizia Was Forced to Break Royal Protocol During Latest Outing

There are times when members of the royal family choose to break protocol. However, it’s not every day that someone is forced into bending the rules…and that’s exactly what happened during Queen Letizia of Spain’s latest outing.

It all started earlier this week when the 48-year-old royal attended an official engagement at the Congress of Deputies in Madrid. When she arrived at the facility, the queen was put in a somewhat awkward position, since there was no one there to greet her (per standard protocol).

Of course, Queen Letizia handled the situation like a total pro and passed the time by waving to bystanders and chatting with the press. A few minutes later, an official appeared in the doorway and ushered the monarch inside.

The timing issue allowed us to get a better glimpse of Queen Letizia’s flattering outfit, which consisted of a stunning red suit by Roberto Torretta. She styled her hair in loose waves and accessorized the look with matching suede heels and a clutch bag.

During the visit, the royal presided over the brand-new tribute honoring Clara Campoamor, a Spanish politician and feminist who advocated for women’s rights and suffrage.

New life goal: Try to be as calm, cool and collected as Queen Letizia during the most uncertain of situations.
