Princess Eugenie is celebrating her husband Jack Brooksbank’s birthday with our favorite kind of present: a mushy social media post.
Today, the 29-year-old royal celebrated her husband’s 33rd year by sharing a rare selfie on Instagram.

The candid pic features the couple taking a stroll through the park with the caption, “Happy Birthday to you, my one and only Jack. You are one of a kind and totally extraordinary. Nine birthdays and counting…to quote you from a few months ago ‘you light up my life’ #birthday.”
Princess Eugenie’s father, Prince Andrew, also celebrated the birthday boy on Twitter, writing, “Wishing Jack Brooksbank a very Happy Birthday!”
The couple met in 2010 while Princess Eugenie was still a student at Newcastle University. The meet-cute occurred during a ski trip to Switzerland, where they were introduced by mutual friends. They later returned to the resort in 2015, along with Prince Andrew.
Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank announced their engagement in January 2018. He popped the question while they were on holiday in Nicaragua, which—according to Princess Eugenie—was “an incredible moment.”
“It was the perfect moment because we knew it was going to end up this way,” she said, according to Hello! magazine. “I was over the moon, crying.”
In October 2018, the couple tied the knot at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle—the same venue as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding.
