Charles Spencer often shares sweet memories of his sister, Princess Diana, and their childhood home, Althorp House. From a nostalgic throwback of Diana’s sixth birthday party (yes, there were camel rides) to tributes left by visitors on the anniversary of her passing, he's always sharing something. His latest share? A peaceful look at Althorp on a quiet September morning.

On Friday, September 12, Charles posted a photo carousel capturing two grand buildings on the estate, which is located in West Northamptonshire, England (about 75 miles outside London). The foreground featured lush green grass, while the sky above was a vibrant shade of blue. The next two images zoomed in on each structure individually, bathed in soft morning light.

“The shadows of a perfect September day,” he captioned the post. “First thing this morning at @althorphouse.”

The calm, early morning vibe of the photos contrasted with similar ones he posted last year that were taken at night with the moon glowing above.

Charles captioned the post, “The Moon over the Althorp Stables tonight.” In it, Spencer highlighted the Althorp Stables, a building he previously explained was built in the early 1700s to accommodate 100 horses and 40 grooms.

While the caption has since been modified to the above, he previously added, “The building is made from the beautiful, local, ironstone—a warm, soft, material that glows in the sunshine, as is the case today, in early morning light.”

He also shared its deep history: Canadian infantrymen were housed there during World War I, and in World War II, children evacuated from London found safe shelter in its walls.

Charles concluded, “It’s more beautiful than the main house here, in my view.”

Whether in the golden light of morning or under a glowing moon, one thing is clear—Althorp House never fails to impress.
