This Father's Day, many will celebrate the dads in their lives—and the British royal family is no exception. To commemorate this special day, both the Prince and Princess of Wales and the king and queen released photographs and videos via their Instagram accounts. But it was a candid photo of the Wales family (and Princess Charlotte's face) that really caught my eye.
Royal Family Shares Wildly Candid Photos for Father’s Day (and Princess Charlotte’s Face Says it All)
too cute!

Celebrity and commercial photographer Josh Shinner captured two sweet portraits of the Wales children and their father. In the first photo, Prince William has his arms around Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who is in turn hugging her younger sibling, Prince Louis. They're standing under a cherry blossom tree in full bloom, wearing coordinating forest green sweaters and button downs.

While the first picture is sweet, it's the second photograph, which the royal parents also posted to their Instagram stories, that allowed everyone's personalities to shine through.
Shinner captures the kids having tackled their dad on a bed of daffodils, and Princess Charlotte's beaming straight at the camera with pure joy.
"Happy Father's Day, Papa (before & after!)," the photos are captioned. "We love you! G, C & L."
Elsewhere, the royals continued Father's Day festivities as King Charles and Queen Camilla gave tributes to their own dads. The king shared a black and white childhood photo of the late Prince Philip pushing King Charles and Princess Anne on a swing. The queen's photo was one of her and her father on her wedding day to King Charles in April 2005.
"To all Dads everywhere, we wish you a happy Father's Day today," they wrote.

The king also shared a touching video in an Instagram story with more black and white childhood footage of himself with Prince Philip over the years. Princess Anne and Queen Elizabeth make a cameo in the scenes of the family at Balmoral as the children feed the horses.
Happy Father's Day, dads. Royal or not—you're still kings in our eyes.
