Princess Charlotte Had a Great Big Sister Moment with Prince Louis at Sunday’s Easter Service

It was a big day for Prince Louis, 4, this past weekend, as he attended his first-ever Easter Matins Service (around the same age that dad Prince William was when he attended his first Easter service). And despite Prince Louis's history of making silly faces, things went quite swimmingly, and part of this was due to the watchful eye from his big sister, Princess Charlotte, 7.

In one sweet moment from Sunday, Princess Charlotte put on her “big sister hat” when she was seen looking over and checking on her brother as the family walked to St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. Although the young princess held onto her father's hand, she looked so grown up as she smiled down proudly at her younger brother.

For the service, the Wales family coordinated in different shades of blue, with each member wearing articles of navy and baby blue clothing. During the day, Prince George, 9, showed off how quickly he's growing up, as he walked to the ceremony all on his own and even lead the way when the family shook the pastor's hand after the service. Meanwhile, Prince Louis acted very grown up himself (but he did manage to sneak in a few fun faces, to our delight).

This isn't the first time we've seen Princess Charlotte take on the big sister role with Prince Louis. Back in 2022, during Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee, the trio of kids made their royal debut in the Trooping the Colour parade, and Prince Louis was seen enthusiastically waving, to the point where Princess Charlotte gently laid his hand down in a gesture meaning chill.

Meanwhile, back in 2019 (when Prince Louis was only a year old), a video was released that showed Princess Charlotte holding one of her younger brother's hands and helping him walk with the assistance of her dad.

The video was from the family's visit to the RHS Back to Nature Garden at the Chelsea Flower Show, and we couldn't get over how much of a natural the princess was with her little brother.
