A Royal Fan Received a Personalized Letter (& Rare Pic!) from Princess Anne

Princess Anne sent out special letters to those who wished her a happy birthday, and we have proof.

It all started when an Instagram user (@theroyalmailbox) shared a slideshow of photos on social media, featuring a personalized letter from the Princess Royal herself. Not only does the card include a heartfelt message, but it also has a never-before-seen photo of Princess Anne.

In the photo, Princess Anne is wearing a blue suit as she sits in front of a naturally lit window. The royal styled her hair in her signature updo and accessorized the look with a pearl necklace and diamond brooch.

If you scroll to the right, you’ll see pics of the royal emblem and envelope, which looks totally official. The note read, “The Princess Royal appreciated your kind thoughts on the occasion of her 70th birthday, and sends you her thanks and best wishes for the future.”

Details about this thank-you note arrived just one month after Princess Anne celebrated her 70th birthday. The royal family celebrated the momentous occasion by sharing official photos on Instagram, which were taken by photographer John Swannel at Anne’s Gloucestershire home, Gatcombe Park. (He’s taken her birthday portraits for the past four decades. NBD.)

Although we don’t know if Swannel captured the image featured in the card, we wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the case. First, it has a similar style to the previously released pics. And second, the background resembles the royal residence where the original photoshoot took place.

Not to mention, Princess Anne appears to be wearing the same lipstick in all four shots. Coincidence? We think not.
