The tweet read, “The Duke of Cambridge will mark 50 years of @CentrepointUK during two engagements on Wednesday 13th November #ChangeTheStory.”
The theme of this year’s celebration is “Change the Story,” which is aimed to end youth homelessness…for good. The 50th anniversary will not only honor the thousands of success stories, but it will also reflect on the experiences of former and current staff members.
Centrepoint was originally created in 1969 in a church basement in London. Since then, it has expanded into a successful organization with over 60 accommodation services. Oh, and did we mention it’s the U.K.’s leading youth homelessness charity? NBD.
According to Centrepoint’s official website, the goal is to “make sure every young person has a safe place to call home.”
This isn’t the first time Prince William has supported the charity. Back in 2017, the duke visited a Centrepoint hostel in London and fooled around with a Post-It Note (pictured above).
Two engagements might seem like a full schedule, but hey, at least it’s for a good cause.
