It’s officially been a week since the royals returned to work after their summer break and they’re not easing in slowly. From Prince William and Kate Middleton’s visit to the Natural History Museum last week to their latest stop at the Women’s Institute, the Prince and Princess of Wales have been fully booked and busy.

Of course, royal outings aren’t just about engagements and photo ops. They also offer fans little glimpses into the couple’s dynamic. For example, last week gave us a sweet
peek into Will and Kate’s marriage. (Spoiler: things are looking great, btw.)

Their most recent appearance was no exception. During yesterday's visit to the Women’s Institute, Prince William’s body language made one thing clear: he’s officially back in the groove.

“At yesterday’s event, he was in his element. His body language was relaxed, casual and comfortable,” says PureWow’s VP of News and Entertainment Philip Mutz. “He made a lot of hand gestures and silly faces. He was clearly having a great time.”

And honestly, the photos and videos back it up. In one shot (above), William looks completely engaged, using his whole body to express whatever story or point he’s making. The same level of comfort and ease can be seen in the Instagram video below.

As for his relationship with Princess Catherine? Still solid. In one particularly sweet moment, he’s seen looking at her while she’s speaking and the look on his face is straight out of a rom-com. He’s got that tight-lipped grin, eyes locked on her and he just looks so proud.

Despite the fact that September 8 marked the third anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s passing, the mood remained upbeat.

The appearance at the Women’s Institute, which the late Queen was famously a part of, turned a somber date into a meaningful tribute. For context: the WI is the U.K.’s largest women’s group, and Queen Elizabeth served as president of the Sandringham branch for decades until her death.
