Prince William stepped out for another major solo appearance following wife Kate Middleton’s surgery, and he handled it like a total pro.

Over the weekend, the Prince of Wales, 41, attended the 2024 BAFTA Film Awards at The Royal Festival Hall in London. Prince William walked the red carpet by himself, and according to body language expert Darren Stanton, he appeared totally at ease.

“The first thing I noticed about William on the red carpet is that he was displaying genuine emotion,” Stanton told PureWow (on behalf of Betfair Bingo). “He wasn’t masking any emotions or smiles, which proves to me that he was happy to be there.”

He continued, “His shoulders were down, demonstrating that he felt completely comfortable in the moment. Despite not having Kate by his side, William was in a relaxed emotional state.”

Stanton confirmed that Prince William “walked with complete confidence on the red carpet,” despite the Princess of Wales’s absence.

“We’re looking at a man who has developed greatly over the years. Nowadays, he’s completely happy and confident to attend events on his own,” he said. “He could have easily been mistaken for a Hollywood actor on the red carpet, as he’s that confident in dealing with the public and has a whole set of self assurance. We’re definitely not seeing the introverted William that we used to see decades ago.”
