Prince Harry Is Shown Pics of Princess Diana on His Latest Outing—and His Smile Says It All

Prince Harry’s latest royal engagement had a special connection to Princess Diana, and we nearly missed it.

Yesterday, the Duke of Sussex, 34, visited the Sheffield Children’s Hospital in Sheffield, England, to celebrate the opening of a new wing.

The visit holds a special place in the royal’s heart, since his late mother, Princess Diana, visited the same hospital almost 30 years ago. (Prince Harry would have been 5 years old at the time.)

During yesterday’s outing, the staff brought out photos from Princess Diana’s visit—including ones from when she signed the hospital’s guest book. The prince smiled at the memories before signing the book himself.

After reminiscing, Harry interacted with the patients and even received a few gifts for royal baby Archie.

First, he walked away with a yellow teddy bear that has a sash that reads, “HRH Theo.” While we originally thought “Theo” was a cute nickname for Archie (you never know), that all changed when we learned the hospital’s mascot is named Theo, closing the case once and for all.

Prince Harry also received a baby blanket with the Sussex monogram, along with Archie’s name, emblazoned on it.

Before we know it, baby Archie will be signing the Sheffield Hospital guest book.
