Will Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Visit the U.K. This Year? Here’s What We Know

Now that Queen Elizabeth has officially canceled all garden parties for 2021, there’s only one royal question on our mind: Will Prince Harry and Meghan Markle return to the U.K. this year?

Unfortunately, the answer is unclear, since they’re currently living in the wealthy Santa Barbara neighborhood of Montecito, California. However, according to The Sunday Times, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are planning to visit London this summer, since they’re expected to attend the U.K.’s annual Trooping the Colour parade, which is scheduled to take place on June 12.

Although Prince Harry and Markle were supposed to return in December 2020, their trip was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Their canceled travel plans coincided with Markle’s privacy trial, which has been rescheduled for autumn 2021.

The news might surprise some fans, since we hoped for far more public appearances. Not to mention, Prince Harry and Markle promised to split their time between the U.S. and the U.K. when they announced that they were stepping down as senior royals.

However, the couple’s lack of movement is mainly due to the coronavirus pandemic. Not only is California in the midst of a stay-at-home order, but the U.K. is also entering its third lockdown. Both areas require travelers to self-quarantine upon arrival, making it nearly impossible for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to travel at this time.

So, as much as we’d love to see multiple Fab Four reunions in 2021, we’re keeping our fingers crossed for at least one.
