Prince Harry Enjoys a Game of Polo While Meghan Markle Cheers Him On

Prince Harry decided to reunite with an old pal to play a friendly game of polo.

In photos obtained by People, the Duke of Sussex is shown playing with his longtime friend, Nacho Figueras, at the Santa Barbara Polo Club. The old mates played on the same team, called Los Padres. During the game, Meghan Markle was seen supporting her husband and cheering him on.

Figueras posted a snapshot of Harry and the rest of the team on Instagram. The duke appeared to be all smiles in the photo, sporting a traditional polo uniform while holding a mallet.

“Thrilled to be riding alongside my friend, Prince Harry, and the rest of the Los Padres team at the @santabarbarapoloclub’s Harry East Memorial Tournament,” Figueras wrote in the caption. “We’ve ridden together many times over the years and now that we’re both parents, it’s extra special to be able to spend this time together.”

He went on to share the meaning behind the team name, saying, “The name Los Padres was inspired by the proximity of the field to the Los Padres National Forest and also by our connection as fathers.”

This is the first public appearance for Prince Harry and Markle since they attended the Invictus Games in The Netherlands and cheered on athletes from the sidelines. At one point, the couple even shared a kiss onstage at the opening ceremony. The duchess decided to cut her European trip short and caught an early flight to Los Angeles to be with their two children, Archie and Lilibet.

Talk about a fun reunion between pals.
