Meghan Markle Travels Back to Los Angeles Solo After European Trip

Meghan Markle has reportedly caught a flight back to Los Angeles to see her two children, Archie and Lilibet.

This past weekend, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex kicked off the 2022 Invictus Games in the Netherlands. Aside from showcasing their parenting style and stylish fashion sense, the royal couple even shared a romantic kiss onstage at the public event. But, Markle chose to cut her European trip shorter than her husband's and head back to the U.S., just four days before Prince Harry.

Per Hello Magazine, the duchess flew back to L.A. earlier today and was reunited with her two children. This comes on the heels of the second day of the games where Markle reportedly revealed that she missed her kids immensely while attending a children’s reading event held at Zuiderpark.

According to the report, the royal confessed to an army veteran named James Stride (who also competed in this year’s sporting competition) that being surrounded by children made her miss her own even more.

“Meghan was quite chatty and told me she was missing her children,” he said. “She said she wanted to be with children as she was missing her own.”

In an earlier report, it was suggested that the duchess might have stayed in Europe a little bit longer, as the games last until April 22.

The duke himself first launched the tournament in 2014, wanting to give injured men and women the opportunity to shine and compete in a public sporting event.

As much as we loved seeing the duke and duchess abroad together, we're happy for Meghan that she's been reunited with her son and daughter!
