Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Send Personal Thank-You Note After Archie Receives Surprise Birthday Gift

Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, just sent a personalized thank-you note after a local bike shop gifted their 4-year-old son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, a surprise birthday gift.

This week, Jennifer Blevins described her lovely interaction with the Duke (38) and Duchess of Sussex (41) during an interview with People magazine.

Jennifer and her British partner, Martin, own Mad Dogs & Englishmen Bike Shop in Montecito, California, the same town where the royal couple now reside. When Martin learned that Archie was turning 4 on May 6, he wanted to surprise the young boy with a new bike.

“He went, and he got one of our little specialized kids’ bikes—they’re really nice little bikes—and he’s like, ‘This one’s perfect, it’s got training wheels,’” Jennifer told the mag. “And so, he went and got some birthday balloons, and he got some flowers for Meghan and a birthday card, and he said, ‘OK, I’m gonna bike over and take it to their house.’”

Of course, Martin was confronted by security outside the home. Jennifer added, “He said, ‘I’m just a British business in town that wanted to give Archie a gift.’” It was a success.

A few weeks after delivering the gift, the couple received a thank-you letter from Prince Harry and Markle. “A courier came by our little shop on Coast Village Road, and he dropped off that letter,” Jennifer explained. “It was so thoughtful because, you know, they took the time to write something personal and not just a generic thank you.”

Oh, to be royal.
