And in honor of the milestone birthday, the royal family released this brand-new portrait (seen below).
Royal Fam Releases Pic of Prince George Looking So Grown Up in Honor of His 10th Birthday
In the pic, Prince George is looking so grown up, sporting a pair of teal slacks and brown suede shoes, along with a patterned button-up.
Releasing a royal birthday portrait is something of a tradition for the Wales family. Each year, the Prince and Princess of Wales share a never-before-seen picture on the eve of their children’s big day.
Back in May, the couple shared not one, but two images of Princess Charlotte in honor of her eighth birthday.
The first of the two pics was taken by Middleton herself and shows Charlotte looking like a carbon copy of her parents while smiling widely and wearing a white floral dress.
This was followed up the next day with a portrait of the young royal cuddling the family dog, Orla.
George and Charlotte’s youngest sibling, Prince Louis, also got the bday photo treatment back in April as he turned five. In one image shared on social media, Princess Catherine is pushing Prince Louis in a wheelbarrow and he is all smiles.
The second image in the slideshow is a closeup of the prince. As royal fans well know, Prince Louis really knows how to dial things up when the cameras are snapping (just look to Trooping the Colour, the coronation or the Platinum Jubilee for photographic evidence).
And, of course, we’d be remiss not to revisit Prince George’s photo from his ninth birthday to see just how much he’s grown.
In the portrait, Prince George is smiling for the camera in a light blue collared shirt. The young royal bears a striking resemblance to his dad at this age, especially with his sandy blonde hair.
Happiest of birthdays to Prince George!
