Prince Charles & Camilla Share Personal Statement on Social Media: ‘Best of Luck’

Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles are showing their support for the England football (soccer, to us Americans) team ahead of their major match on Wednesday.

Earlier today, the Prince of Wales requested the Coldstream Guards play two sports anthems—Three Lions and Sweet Caroline—outside Clarence House to show support for the team. Luckily, the couple shared a clip of the musical event on their personal social media accounts alongside a personal message.

“Best of luck to the #ThreeLions in your semi-final Euros match tonight! @England #ItsComingHome,” the post’s caption read. They simply signed the note, “From The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall.”

In the video, we see the soldiers in their bright red tunics and tall black hats as they play the songs in the royal courtyard. It seems like Camilla and Prince Charles are avid fans of the sport. A royal correspondent for the couple previously told Yahoo News that “both Their Royal Highnesses [Charles and Camilla] will be closely following the outcome.”

They aren’t the only members of the royal family to do so. In fact, last month, Prince William was seen attending a football game at Wembley stadium alongside his 7-year-old son and his wife, Kate Middleton. When they arrived at the event, the Cambridge family greeted David Beckham before settling into their seats, where they sang along to the national anthem.

And the Duke of Cambridge is also set to attend tonight’s match between London and Demark. Unfortunately, due to her recent exposure to COVID-19, Kate Middleton will be unable to attend alongside her husband. No word on if Prince George will be making another appearance.

We can’t wait to see more team support from the royal family.
