Pink just dyed her daughter Willow’s hair, but it was all for a good cause.
It all started yesterday when Pink shared a side-by-side pic on Instagram, featuring the moment she dyed Willow’s hair blue. The photo is in response to Jessica Simpson, who is receiving loads of backlash after posting a snap of her daughter, Maxwell (7), rocking purple ends.
In the caption, Pink revealed that she has no shame in her parenting choices, writing, “I heard people were bummed on Jessica Simpson for letting her seven-year-old get her hair colored. So, we thought we’d share what we did yesterday.”
She concluded the post with five very telling hashtags: #bluehairdontcare #getyourownkids #parentpoliceareactuallyjustlonelysadpeople #illdyeyourhairtoolosers #ohlookmanocomments,” she wrote, referring to herself disabling the comments.
The drama started earlier this week when Simpson shared a pic on Instagram of Maxwell’s new hairdo. (The ’do is inspired by Dove Cameron’s character, Mal, from The Descendants.)
The comments section immediately blew up with criticism, claiming the singer is “ruining” her daughter’s hair.
While we highly doubt one dose of hair dye will “ruin” anything, we have to applaud Pink for throwing herself under the bus in the midst of chaos.
