A Woman Gave Birth at a Pink Concert—and Pink’s Response Was Everything

When Pink hit the stage in Liverpool, England, this past Tuesday night, she was ready to get the party started. As it turns out, so was a little member of the audience.

Concertgoer Denise Jones was days away from her due date when she arrived at Anfield Stadium to see the 39-year-old Grammy winner perform. But, just four minutes into the concert, as Pink sang “Get the Party Started,” the mom-to-be had to step away. Why? Well, she went into labor.

Jones, 32, was rushed to a private area by paramedics where two doctors assisted her in a surprisingly quick delivery. The end result: a beautiful baby girl with a very fitting name.

Although Jones had already chosen the name “Dolly Louise,” she opted to switch things up and call her daughter Dolly Pink instead.

“I’m still massively in shock, just a bit gutted I missed the concert,” Jones joked during an interview with the Liverpool Echo. “But I couldn’t be any happier right now!”

Pink was pretty excited about Dolly Pink’s arrival, too. She gave Jones and her 6-pound, 4.5 ounce little girl a shout-out on Instagram.

The “What About Us” singer shared a screen shot of the Echo article and captioned it, “Dolly Pink wanted to get the party started.” She threw in a couple of hardcore symbol emojis and a heart for good measure.

One thing’s for sure: Just like her namesake, Dolly Pink sure knows how to make an entrance.
