Celebs Are Showing Up After Suiting Up Just Like Meghan Markle
If there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that Meghan Markle can rock a suit (among many other things). Well, it turns out we aren’t the only ones who noticed. Since the 37-year-old Duchess of Sussex first donned a black tux in February 2018, celebs have followed suit (sorry). And now that spring is officially here, everyone from Pink to Jessica Chastain is putting their own spin on the menswear staple. Here, four celebs who swapped out sundresses for suits this week.
She may go by the name of Pink, but the 39-year-old “Walk Me Home” singer rocked a powder blue floral suit from an unknown designer during a visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday. We personally would have swapped out the red polka dot top for a white tee, but hey, power clashing is always a bold choice in our book.
Chastain was spotted today in midtown Manhattan wearing a royal blue and white pinstripe three-piece suit by Ralph Lauren. The 42-year-old Molly’s Game star accessorized the classic-with-a-twist ensemble with a red RL50 bag from Lauren’s eponymous line, tortoiseshell sunglasses, bright red lips and white Sergio Rossi pumps. Très American beauty.
Hathaway seems to have learned a thing or two from Miranda Priestly. The 36-year-old Ocean’s 8 actress stopped by BBC Radio 2 in London today wearing a vibrant teal silk-blend double-breasted suit from Gabriela Hearst’s namesake line. She sexed it up with a lace cut-out top and leaned into her ensemble’s more classic elements with a black croc top-handle box bag (also by Hearst) and black patent-leather pointed-toe heels. Hathaway added an unexpected pop to the outfit with blue and green Rachel Comey Arc acrylic earrings. The Duchess of Sussex would definitely approve.
Schilling looked sophisticated chic at a SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations event yesterday in a winter white suit with flared trousers and a matching silk chemise. The 34-year-old Orange Is the New Black star infused color into the monochromatic look with pale pink pointed-toe pumps and a vivid red lip.
One trend, worn four different ways: Yet another reason we have to thank Meghan Markle.
