Nikki Reed celebrated Mother’s Day with a throwback to her pregnancy with daughter Bodhi Soleil Reid Somerhalder.
Yesterday, the 30-year-old actress shared a powerful tribute on Instagram. Reed posted a naked pregnancy photo and penned a caption explaining how motherhood has changed her for the better.
“Motherhood changed me forever. It is the greatest thing I’ve ever known. Growing a human, birthing a human and raising a human takes a village, and I am forever grateful for the women who make up this village. I lean on you, I call on you, I am here for you as you are for me,” she wrote.
Reed went on to gush over little Bodhi, adding, “Being a mama is my favorite thing in the world. I am more proud of this kid than I am of anything else in my life. It kicks my ass and makes me love deeper than I ever knew I could. I am eternally grateful for this journey and all the beautiful Mamas who inspire me everyday.”
Reed and her husband, Ian Somerhalder, tied the knot in 2015 and welcomed their first child two years later. In an interview with Fit Pregnancy and Baby magazine, the Twilight actress revealed that they were planning to take “one month of silence” following the birth of their new daughter.
Since then, the couple has remained tight-lipped about their parenthood journey…until now.
