Here’s Why Madison Won’t Be the Next Bachelorette

*Warning: Spoilers ahead*

ABC hasn’t officially announced who the next Bachelorette is, but it’s clear as day that Madison is officially out of the running.

Although the 23-year-old foster care recruiter was a fan favorite to win Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor or star in the forthcoming season of The Bachelorette, the broadcasting network essentially announced today that no one who’s currently still in the running on Weber’s season will be named Bachelorette. Why? Well, according to Good Morning America producer Tony Morrison, the news series will be officially announcing the next Bachelorette on Monday, March 2.

Since GMA is, obviously, in the morning and The Bachelor airs later that day at 8 p.m. PT/ET, it’s safe to assume ABC wouldn’t allow the ending of Weber’s season to be spoiled by revealing who he sent home before we watched him do so. That means Madison, as well as Hannah Ann and Victoria F., won’t be the next Bachelorette. (Although, if we’re being honest, we all knew Victoria wouldn’t vibe as the Bachelorette.) We also still kinda sorta feel like Madison and Weber end up together, so this definitely furthers our theory.

So, who does that leave as potential options? Well, many are speculating that Hannah Brown may reprise her role as the Bachelorette, even though we watched her try and find love (unsuccessfully) last season and she recently signed on to the Dancing with the Stars tour. Other options include Bachelor Nation vets like Tia Booth (Colton Underwood’s Bachelor in Paradise ex) and Kendall Long (from Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s season of The Bachelor). Fans are also in favor of Kelley, Kelsey, Mykenna, Alayah, or Sydney from Weber’s season of The Bachelor, but we’ll have to wait until Monday to see what happens.

Next week can’t come fast enough.
