Meghan Markle's Bold Red Outfit Is a Double Royal Rewear

Meghan Markle just schooled us all in bright, bold color-mixing and took a page out Queen Elizabeth's fashion handbook.

While at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's first public engagement of the new year, the duchess of Sussex donned a violet purple dress and cherry red coat and heels while cradling her six-months' pregnant baby bump.

The duchess wore an Aritzia Babaton dress (which originally retailed for $138) under a red Sentaler coat ($1,395) in Birkenhead on Monday. She previously wore the same coat in a different color (camel) during the royals' Christmas walk in 2017.

She also wore the purse she carried on Monday, the Gabriela Hearst Demi leather tote ($1,795) in brown, during her and Prince Harry's October visit to Sussex county. That time, she carried a green version to match her all-green ensemble.

She paired the look with bright red Stuart Weitzman nouveau suede pumps ($398).

And, yes, the duchess just embodied the age-old adage: "If you love something, you should buy it in every. Single. Color."

Oh, and "go bold or go home." That, too.
