Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton may not have always seen eye to eye, but there is something the sisters-in-law have always had in common: philanthropy. So, when we heard rumblings of a possible charity-focused Netflix project in the works, we weren’t totally surprised.
Us Weekly recently reported that the Duchess of Sussex and the Duchess of Cambridge have been keeping in touch and working on their relationship lately. In fact, the idea of collaborating on a new Netflix business venture has also come up in conversation. The topic? Middleton and her philanthropy work.
“Meghan and Kate are actually getting along really well and have been in touch more often," a source revealed to the outlet. "Meghan has been talking to her about collaborating on a project for Netflix, a documentary that will spotlight Kate’s charity work and the huge impact she’s made with her philanthropy.”
The new project would presumably be part of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's deal with Netflix, which was announced last year. In September, The New York Times revealed the couple had started a production company and signed a major deal with the streaming platform. Per the report, the streaming service will pay the couple to make “documentaries, docu-series, feature films, scripted shows and children’s programming.”
