This Clay Mask Sold More Than 100,000 Jars in 2 Months…and It’s for Your Butt

maelys b tight lift and firm buttocks mask

There are three kinds of maskers in the world: clay mask people, sheet mask people and butt mask people.

No, seriously. Giving your derrière the spa treatment is officially a thing—and the Maelys B-Tight Lift & Firm Booty Mask is the booty mask to try (or so we hear). In just two months at Sephora, it sold more than 100,000 units.

The mask starts with your standard kaolin clay base (for blackheads, blemishes and general pore-cleaning), then adds to that a few key ingredients for butt pampering. According to the brand, that includes guarana and pink pepperslim, which combat cellulite; collagen for firming; and red grapefruit oil for increased circulation.

We haven’t tried it ourselves, but in a survey of 150 people, almost all participants said their bums felt tighter and their cellulite looked less noticeable. (Who needs squats?) We’re a little unclear on how the actual application process works, though. Do you just stand there butt-naked while it does its magic? So many questions.

The mask retails for $49 at Sephora, and this probably won’t come as a surprise but it’s currently sold out. Thank God for waitlists.
