Peter Weber’s mother, Barb, became famous for her brutal (and we mean brutal) honesty on The Bachelor. However, Madison Prewett’s mom, Tonya, is taking a different approach by killing the 28-year-old pilot with kindness.
Although Peter has turned off his comments on Instagram, an old message recently resurfaced on social media. According to Cosmopolitan, Tonya reached out to Peter shortly after his breakup with Madi and wished him all the best.
She wrote, “Wishing you the very best. Like I said at hometowns, there is greatness inside of you. Thankful for the opportunity to meet you.”
When compared to Barb, the comment is slightly comical, since Peter’s mom had a totally different reaction to the relationship. During After the Final Rose, Barb openly supported Hannah Ann Sluss before criticizing her son’s final decision on national television.
“He’s going to have to fail to succeed. That’s it,” she said. “Chris, all his friends, all his family, everyone that knows him knows that it’s not going to work, so we’ve been trying to help him.”
While Bachelor Nation was upset by Barb’s approach, Peter recently defended her during an interview on Nick Viall’s podcast, The Viall Files. “Could [my mom’s] delivery been different? 100 percent. But where that was coming from was a place of pure love,” he said. “That’s who my mom is. I respect the hell out of my mom.”
And we respect the hell out of Tonya Prewett.
